Sales Center for HYP-ARCH DESIGN
The façade effect of the sales centerhas extracted the rhythm and proportion of the façade of the old movie theatre site in Workers’ Village. The three-part pattern combines Chinese and industrial details to reflect the solemnity, luxury and grandness of traditional culture, making it a unique and different pattern from ordinary buildings. In terms of space structure, the traditional elements, Four Treasures of the Study, are represented with architectural language respectively: the wall as Paper, moon-like sculpture as Inkstone, infinity pool as Ink, and trees as Brush.

Abandoned factories, Traditions, industrial culture, Tiexi District, Chinese architecture, facade, detail, industrial elements, sales center
Based on analysis and consideration of the special regional characteristics, there are many special industrial elements in the existing bases and surrounding areas of the project, such as continuous pipelines, grid frame enclosed pipes, metal frames and detailed valve assembly, etc. By transforming these elements into material components of industrial buildings, the volume and shape of traditional buildings are enhanced, and the overall grandeur of the building is highlighted.
In today's architectural design, in addition to a unified complex and façade disposition, the detailed structural design is crucial to the overall beauty of the building. Details can be full of surprises, whether the molding of walls or the choice of column constructions, they reflect the elaboration of the project. At the entrance of the sales center, the detail disposition including stylobates, columns, cornices and frames are combined with the industrial elements (metal frames, detailed valve assembly, etc.), integrating modern materials of details with Chinese expression methods, which allows the building facade effect to no longer be monotonous.
The project started in March 2017 and finished in December 2019 in Shenyang.
The new Chinesestyle building with industrial elements is a regionalized embodiment of the integration of tradition and modernity in the Tiexi Industrial District. The project represents an industrial style modern urban space with Chinese elements. The combination of all three Chinese landscape elements, Chinese architectural language and industrialized complex and components forms an important representation of the project's design concept.
Against the backdrop of the industrial culture in Shenyang's Tiexi District, we need a metaphorical connection of an industrial city. InPoly Chief Palace's project, many carefully designed details have emerged, combining the elements of the Workers' Village facade and traditional architecture, and ultimately creating a Chinese sales centerof industrial style with uniqueness and integration.
The old industrial base is a group of buildings with strong industrial vibes. It is the memory of a generation, and also an expression of Tiexi District's cultural context. On the basis of ensuring the unique architectural style and quality of project, the designers hoped that the historical accumulation of Tiexi's industrial culture wouldbe continued.
