Jewellery Store for Stylus Studio Limited

The design connects to an architectural facade, lighting, furniture and unique lattice panelling for this luxury retail. The designer used these circular beauties inspired by the lily pads as the foundation of the space planning. The red wood are for the store front facade. The city's rattan craftsmanship are for the lattice panelling. A purpose-made lamp shade has specially designed, creating very comfortable lighting ambience and incorporate functional spotlight to ensure the jade jewellery displayed at their optimum illuminance. Understanding the client’s expectation, Stylus Studio visualize a chic and balanced interior that fashion shopping experience that balance emotions, calm the mind, and release negativity.

Production Technology

It is important to create a comfortable, a dependable and practical environment, which lighting is an important part. It creates a pleasant atmosphere, to be able to see the details clearly and, also to display the items in the best kind of way. Stylus Studio has specially designed a purpose-made lamp shade. The said lamp shade creating very comfortable lighting ambience and incorporate functional spotlight with a combination of colour temperature of 2700K and 3000K rating. It has created the best luminaires to ensure the jade jewellery displayed at their optimum illuminance.

Design Challenge

The biggest challenge in this project is to break away from the traditional jewellery store setting and create a multi-layer displays to showcase a range of jades in the high ceiling space with sophisticated lighting design integrated. It is wittingly designed to reflect the distinctive artistry of craftsmen that are imbued with passion.

Project Duration

The project started in 2015 and finished in 2019. The store location is confidential as client's request.

Operation Flow

The designer used these circular beauties inspired by the lily pads the city’s tranquil lakes as the foundation of the space planning encouraging guests to indulge into the curvilinear retail journey. Surrounding the store with tenuous water and plantation features, framed by windows extending from the ground level up to the 2nd floor, are employed to set the backdrop of the interior which renews itself as the seasons change. The duo doors design diminishes the heavy shop store traffic especially during travel peak seasons when buses of travellers around the world would be visiting.

Research

In order to match the charm of the interior of the client's store, we expanded our design scope to design beyond the store. We used the famous red wood that is produced locally to create the store front facade. At night pairing with lighting effects; the client's store has become a building that is hard to miss from inside out. The symbiosis and co-prosperity of Water Garden and Gem Culture illuminates the new future of retail experience.

Inspiration

Inspired by the city's tranquil lakes, filled with an abundance of lily pads, the designer used these circular beauties as the foundation of the space planning. The outcome was a ceremonial and curvilinear retail journey that allows guests to both unwind and be wowed by the unveiling of artisan gems and jewellery.
