In order to create a future living space, modern technology and traditional gardening ideas are integrated into the design. The paving and lawn form an open and clear space experience, with strong color contrast, creating an ultimate sense of purity. A large area of floor-to-ceiling glass complements the special-shaped planting pond, effectively integrating the landscape with the indoor scene. The pragmatic design is adopted as a whole, and regular-sized granite paving stones are used, which also reduces the construction difficulty and construction cost.
The site needs to be demolished and modified in the future. Therefore, the area beyond the red line is mainly planned as a parking lot, entrance wall and a small area of waterscape. While inside the red line it is mainly green garden where the large trees can be transplanted to a large area after the demonstration is over. The atrium is mainly made by gravel landscape, which is flexible for the future transformation.
The project started in November 2019 and finished in June 2020 in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.
The client wanted to implant the corporate vision of "perfect technology and perfect life" into the project. Since housing is not simply a carrier of culture and spirit, it should solve practical living problems. So the landscape design is focused on the creation of living atmospheres and the interaction between people and space.
The minimal and open space form complements the architecture and the landscape, where visitors can appreciate the architecture from the perspective of the city. The modern planting pond welcomes visitors in a simple and elegant form, guides the flow into the demonstration area to explore high-quality living spaces. It has been unanimously praised by the clients.
Respecting the project site conditions and echoing the architectural style, the landscape design extends the modern form and uses geometric facade cutting combined with light interaction to create a rich sensory experience.
