This design is a door handle. Natural stone is not only a valuable piece of nature that beautifies people. At the same time, it is thought that it can be made a built-in part of the space, apart from being used with trinkets such as ornaments. The product consists of rubber coated metal material. There is a texture on the rubber material to prevent slipping. Total width 180mm x 55mm x Height from floor to center 1100mm.

Unique Properties

Although the door handle is not seen as a very important part of the space, it is actually a part of an important surface that provides the transition between spaces and serves as a showcase. It can be an important decision of the design to give the interior an identity by showing its own identity as valuable. At this point, giving the door handle a value like a jewel by making special decisions for its material is the most unique feature of this design.

Production Technology

Door handle of the product consists of rubber coated metal material. There is a texture on the rubber material to prevent slipping. There is also a circular opening in the door handle. To settle in the circular space, natural stone will be used, which will give a more valuable identity on the door handle. In this way, the door handle will both integrate with nature and offers different user experiences and allows personalization. Thus, it can become a part of interior environment.

The most important challenge of the design is making the door handle one of the most striking pieces in the space like a jewel by using special natural stones.

The idea of designing the project Natura created in December 2020.

It present and elementary function of a handle. The overall dimension is adapted to the human motion sequences and ergonomic.

Research

Today, bringing nature and design together is an important approach. Especially doing this in unexpected parts makes an even more valuable contribution to the design. With this design the door handle which is in the background of the space and product design, associates with nature and making it one of the most remarkable parts of the space with the use of natural stone. This approach gives the door handle a jewel identity.

Inspiration

Natural stone is not only a valuable piece of nature that beautifies people. At the same time, it is thought that it can be made a built-in part of the space, apart from being used with trinkets such as ornaments. Making the door handle, which is the most visible and communicating part of the surfaces that is the transition showcase function of the spaces, more valuable like a jewel with the use of natural stone and indirectly adding meaning to the space creates inspiration.
