Landscape for NCD Studio Pte Ltd
The designer has captured the most intuitive characteristics of clouds: lightness, cleanliness, a sense of floating, and permeability. The designer has compared the textures and colours of various materials, looking for commonalities between the artificial materials and the natural environment in the above characteristics, to create a site that is quiet and light in terms of spatial temperament. The designer has sacrificed a certain degree of commercial openness in exchange for the integrity and independence of the site's atmosphere.

In this case, a modern minimalist landscape design, the design team creates an integrated business loop motion line in a limited space of 5,080 square meters, while managing to keep the privacy of the inner space from disturbances. Applying the space partition technique, it ensures transparency and soft transition, and fosters an independent atmosphere and emotional value.

The design team devises a box space on each boundary, for display or rest. These boxes echo with the main building in the center to add fun. The dislocated feature walls, hollowed feature walls and transparent blocks are interspersed to clear up the dimension sense of the enclosure boundaries. Meanwhile, ultra-white glass, dark gray transparent glass and rainbow glass are used to meet the needs of different angles and permeability. The waterscape takes up most of the space, where the calm water surface, with a black marble base, reflects the sky scene like a mirror, giving off a quiet space temperament.
The site available for the demonstration area is very small and does not fully meet the owner's requirements: the conflict between function and aesthetics, spatial attributes and commercial value is played out throughout the design process. In the end, a certain degree of commercial openness was sacrificed in exchange for the integrity and independence of the site. The designers ensured a complete commercial migration line while making the internal spaces as private and undisturbed as possible.
The project started in April 2020 in Lishui and finished in November 2020 in Lishui.
The space, rectangular in the master plan, has a main entrance and a secondary entrance that are separated by a logo wall circled around by a waterscape. The gray and white colors are cleverly matched to make the space look simple and yet imposing, exhibiting high quality. Visitors may take a short rest in the space behind the logo wall, and enjoy a panoramic view of the area. While allowing people to take the load off their feet, the long gray marble benches complement the waterscape in front.
Because of the small size of the site, the owner wanted the project to be visually open to achieve internal and external views, but also spatially distinct to ensure a quiet atmosphere and a sense of quality inside. The design captures the most intuitive characteristics of clouds: lightness, cleanliness, floating and permeability. We compared the textures and colour schemes of various materials, looking for commonalities between the artificial materials and the natural environment to create a site that is quiet and light in its spatial quality.
The design puts aside concrete symbols and captures the most intuitive features of clouds: light, clean, floating, and transparent. By comparing the textures and color assortment of multiple materials, it catches the common characters between artificial materials and the natural environment in the above characteristics, and forges a quiet and light site in the spatial temperament.
