Square Pillow for SIDANDA
Prolonged use of over-high pillows will cause excessive fatigue of the neck, tending to result in stiff neck and other phenomena. Studies have shown that when people sleep on their backs, the suitable height of the pillow for men is 4-8cm, for women 4-6cm, that is, that is, the most suitable height is equal to the heights of their fists. Inspired by this, Sidanda designs this Square Neck Protection Pillow based on ergonomic principles with the suboccipital muscle group as the core, and uses innovative pillow filling methods to provide users with a healthy and comfortable sleep environment.

This pillow is designed with an irregular V-shaped partitioned pillow face, filled with goose down and latex particles inside. Latex particles, featured with flowing resilience, play a massage function and promote blood circulation. Combined with goose down with natural gas holes, it automatically adapts to the sinking of the head and neck, quickly adjusts poor sleeping posture and relaxes the muscles and the spine during sleep. Also, latex particles own tens of thousands of honeycomb air holes, and goose down also has millions of air permeable holes, with the excellent breathability advantage of both. This complementary filling can distribute the heat generated during sleep in all directions. In addition, the pillow is surrounded by special additional Brcloud Air breathable mesh, doubling the moisture and sweat wicking, avoiding being stuffy and sweaty.
The biggest challenge of the product is the new design of irregular V-shaped partitions. The amount of filling needs to be precisely controlled according to the location of each partition. Too much or too little filling will affect the balance and weaken the relaxing effect on the suboccipital muscles. In addition, it is the first time the goose down and latex particles are simultaneously filled in the pillow core. Therefore, this not only requires sufficient support, but also has to ensure that the softness is moderate, which increases the difficulty of design and production.
The project started R&D since January 2021 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, with testing beginning in March 2021 and the official launch in June 2021.
After users lying down, the head fossa area naturally sinks with the head, forms a moderate light support curve, softly protects the head, avoids the spine in a tight state, and soothes the muscles. The side sleeping area seamlessly fits the curve of the neck, while gently taking care of the skin of the cheek. When the user turns over, the resilient latex particles rebound quickly in response to changes in sleeping position, giving proper elastic support to the cervical spine and the occipital bone to enhance sleep comfort.
SIDANDA Laboratory has discovered that the "suboccipital muscle group" is vital in maintaining the alignment between the skull and the upper cervical spine. The V-shaped partitioned pillow surface is designed based on five irregular partitions, effectively relaxing the core suboccipital muscle groups. Latex particles and goose down are accurately filled according to the qualities of human bones and muscle distribution, to provide comfortable support for user's cervical spines and pillow bones.
The Square Neck Protection Pillow provides an irregular V-shaped partitioned surface for core suboccipital muscles, relaxing the muscles and the spine during sleep and effectively relieving the neck fatigue. After users lying down, the head fossa area naturally sinks, and the side sleeping area closely fits the cervical curve. Latex particles are added as rebound material to offer proper support. For different sexes, the product offers different heights, so that users can make the best choice.
