Residential House for The One Hong Kong Design
In this case, the design concept of flow space is adopted, and the closed independent space is transformed into an interconnected whole with a return moving line. A glass is designed in the dust falling area of the porch, through which light penetrates into the kitchen. Between the living room and bedroom, curtains are used to replace the wall, weakening the sense of zoning in the transition of space. Hollow out blocks are used for the storage cabinet walls in the cloakroom and desk area to increase regional interaction and avoid visual fatigue caused by large-area walls.

Based on the "unconventional" living space needs of the two owners, designers want to create a sense of privacy and closure that can break the traditional private house space for the owners. Therefore, in space design, they avoid static volume combination, but pursue continuous moving space to create a flowing, through and inseparable overall space effect.

The main materials in this project are cement paint, wood veneer and tiles.
The designers wanted to create more circulating, non closed and open spaces, but there are more clothes for female homeowners. This concept conflicts with the owner's "cloakroom".Moreover, they need a fully open cloakroom to display.
The project started in November 2019 in GuangZhou and finished in April 2021 in GuangZhou.
The designers hope that space and space can be opened, so that the sense of closure of traditional private houses can be dispelled, and the definition of different spaces is blurred and the transition is natural.
According to the climate characteristics of Guangdong, clothes exposed to unsealed space for a long time are prone to moisture and dirty, affecting the quality of clothes. The designers have installed a greenhouse balanced central air conditioning and fresh air system in the whole house to avoid more outdoor dust entering the room and ensure that the indoor temperature and humidity can be balanced.
The couple in this case are DINK who prefer calm and restrained grey color, they hope that the 200 square meters house can be designed just for the two of them. In daily life, they mainly work, do yoga, read books at home, hardly cook and do not receive any guests, which means a traditional sofa-type living room is not needed.
