Design Challenge

Unlike competitors with the same kind of functions and appearance, this crib greatly saves space with its foldability, convenient to store and carry outside. The design team innovatively equipped this product with LED touch screen to show information like time, temperature, humidity and Wi-Fi. And it can be connected to phones by Bluetooth to play music and other devices like night lights to take care babies at night and smart cameras to check babies remotely by mobile APP.

Project Duration

The project developed in Hangzhou in September 2022 and launched in Hangzhou in January 2023.

Operation Flow

This product supports convenient folding installation and quick unfolding installation with only one button. With a small folded size, it takes up little space, perfect to carry outside. The quick unfolding installation with only one button enables parents to operate the crib with babies in their arm, which effectively simplifies the installation, providing a humanized experience for parents.

Research

Traditional cribs only focus on the comfort for babies and overlook the convenient operation for parents. Cribs on the market are not intelligent without smart accessories and take up a lot of space with a fixed size. Based on the above, the design team aims to develop a smart crib with portability, foldability, intelligence and humanization that keeps babies comfortable with easy and convenient operation for parents.

Inspiration

With the concept of service and function, each part of the product has an indispensable function and there are no unnecessary accessories. Its foldability and portability make the crib easy to store and carry outside. The design team integrated humanized display and control functions into this product and developed this smart multifunctional crib, comfortable for babies and convenient for parents.

Project Overview

B10210 Smart Multifunctional Crib has been a Bronze winner in the Baby, Kids' and Children's Products Design award category in the year 2022 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition.
