Cafe for BOFA Design
The aroma of coffee has become an indispensable spiritual enjoyment for modern people. The space behind the fence is different from the alleyway. Contrary to the impression of a gray city, all the colors here are soft and saturated. Dark orange tones and daylight seem to be lost in time at the edge of the city, and the vast expanse of the desert is concentrated in the project. The dry, fresh atmosphere contrasts with the cold, metallic materials. The collision of vintage and fashion is the most stunning part of the old apartment.

Clash of Old and New: The renovation of the old apartment is a farewell to the definition of the previous phase. The main visual color 'dark orange' and the brick-colored tiles on the exterior walls form a clash between the old and the new. The interior retains the original traces but is covered with paints and blunt-edged stainless steel within the reach of people. Flourish: The 50-year-old site is full of nostalgic charm. To revitalize the space, incorporated a warm desert tone into the stucco paint. The removal of the outdoor awning allowed the interior to be illuminated by sunlight and placed succulents.

Building materials: stainless steel, paint, iron parts, glass, etc. The color scheme is minimalist. The designer used large color blocks to present a minimalist style, and mixed warm orange stucco to serve as the highlight. The designer even tested the performance of different proportions of materials to achieve a balance between color, texture, hardness, and crack resistance, while maintaining a consistent color palette.
First of all, lighting is of utmost importance. The interior lighting was hindered by the structure and location of the old apartment, so the designer must find innovative ways to enhance the lighting. The designer removed the outdoor awning and used glass and partitionless planning to bring in light. In addition, waterproofing and drainage in the basement are also critical. After planning the plants and interior drainage system, the designer regained a cozy look.
The project finished in January 2022 in Taiwan.
The commercial space is a cafe. In addition to creating a comfortable interior, the designer focused on the consumer experience. In particular, the interior has a large number of stainless-steel cabinets, and to avoid the possibility of injury, the designer trimmed their sharp edges to blunt. The main seating area is in the basement. In the space with no windows, the designer deliberately changed the originally closed vent into a patio and placed plants. The quiet basement is perfect for consumers to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
The site is a 50-year-old apartment located on the edge of an alleyway. The name of the project, 'Abu Dhabi Oasis Impression', comes from its distinctive West Asian style. The warmth of the interior is conveyed by the brand's signature color, dark orange, which links to the desert impression and is balanced by stylish stainless steel. The project is centered on the collision and cooperation between the old and the new. The bright and eye-catching colors bring vitality to the old apartment, while rustic textures with subtle layers add to the visual appeal.
The site is a 50-year-old apartment located at the corner of an alley. Based on the brand image of the cafe, the designer covered the interior with desert-tone paint and balanced the visual effect with stylish stainless steel. Finally, the project is embellished with succulent plants to create a West Asian Abu Dhabi style, defining the space as 'an oasis in the desert'.
