If space provides the physical basis for urban development, then art and humanities give the city content and scene power. Luxebay Art Gallery creates a series of sculptures for the project space, which meet one by one as the space flows, and the architecture and sculpture echo and fit with each other. Because the sculpture occupies the main visual point, other complex decorations are reduced, the space is simple and open, and the classic furniture and fabric with a sense of extension are selected to make the overall style of the project natural and smooth.

Following this principle, the designer uses an artistic expression full of humanistic philosophy to create a series of sculptures tailored for the "Luxebay Art Gallery" project. With the flow of space, they meet one by one, trying to vividly project the true meaning of a good life.

Production Technology
Drawing inspiration from Homer's epic poems, the artist has Freehand painting many magical plants that have passed by goddesses and heroes in mythology: olive trees, laurels, reed flowers, sunflowers, daffodils... They come from mythology, so there's an extra layer of fantasy. Finally, these ideas are made by human hands, one after another, and bloom above the gods.
Design Challenge
We attached flowers to each statue, opening a surreal dialogue between humans and flowers that was incrementally-incredible. Flowers incarnate as totems, bursting into life, walking between the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Project Duration
Completed in October 2023, the site is located in Wanning, Hainan
Operation Flow
The project has plenty of light and simple and open space. In order to give people a more generous and free feeling, we chose classic furniture with a sense of wholeness, flow and extension. At the same time, we lowered the center of gravity, so the visual focus naturally stayed on the sculpture like the advent of gods.
Research
Flowers imply duality, delicate and tough, precious and ordinary, short and eternal. Metaphorical human nature needs the continuous watering of humanism to flourish. The earliest schools of philosophy were born in the garden, where rich ideas, high virtues, and great souls inhabit.
Inspiration
The design attempts to arouse the viewer's emotions and mobilize the projection of memory and mind through enhanced perception. The design logic consists of three parts: 1. Cultural motifs of myth and nature. 2. Visual conflict between minimalism and complexity. 3. Order system of repetition and progression.
