At the junction of fields and city, the space blends wooden art pieces with modern design, creating a dynamic narrative. A deep blue bar flows at the entrance, with semi-transparent titanium-coated metal barriers resembling the horizon. The self-leveling cement floor serves as an enduring canvas. The raw wood art pieces, once mere collectibles, now become integral elements, bridging the past and future. Partitions subtly define the space, linking moods across areas and inviting exploration and appreciation.

Unique Properties
To break the rigidity of conventional office layouts, the designers adopted a 'deconstructed circulation' approach, using non-linear visual axes for a dynamic spatial experience. The reception area features a bold blue L-shaped bar as the focal point, complemented by yellow seating, balancing vitality and rationality. Titanium-plated metal cabinets subtly divide office and discussion zones, maintaining openness while ensuring privacy. Large wooden furniture pieces from the owner's collection were placed to highlight their natural textures.

Production Technology
The project skillfully balances contrast and harmony through diverse materials. Self-leveling cement mortar flooring enhances tactile delicacy and spatial continuity, while large glass windows maximize natural light, reducing the need for artificial illumination. Dark wooden desks complement wall art, establishing a stable, layered ambiance. The color strategy follows a 'warm-cool balance' principle, where the deep blue reception bar contrasts with the natural wood-toned office area, with gray-white flooring as a neutral bridge, creating a modern yet inviting atmosphere.
Design Challenge
Integrating the owner's collection of large wooden furniture with modern design posed a challenge. The designers used materials like titanium-coated metal partitions and wooden tables to harmonize the old and new. Since the furniture varied in height and form, custom curved steps were created in the discussion area to adjust the furniture to ergonomic standards. Strategic lighting was used to highlight these steps, enhancing spatial dynamics and reinforcing the interaction between the host and visitors, ensuring comfort and functionality.
Project Duration
The project finished in November 2024 in Taiwan.
Operation Flow
The owner highly praised the outcome, recognizing that the project successfully avoided the rigidity typical of conventional offices and created a work atmosphere that is both functional and sensuous through the layering of visual and tactile elements. Furthermore, the design also took into consideration the need for multifunctional use, including areas for immediate staff interaction, private meetings, and a relaxation zone, shaping an office that adapts to various scenarios.
Research
Interior design goes beyond functionality, engaging users through aesthetic narratives that reveal the space's fluidity under different lights and angles. Situated amidst open fields with a city view, the site presents an intriguing contrast. The designers embraced this by blending modern design with wooden furniture, embodying the theme of 'admiring art amidst scenic fields' the project's name, Light Field, Art View. Curved archways and a layered color scheme enhance depth, while a thoughtful lighting plan adds warmth and drama.
Inspiration
Located amidst open fields, the site was once a tin sheet factory and has been carefully transformed into a workspace that balances functionality with artistic refinement. The owner, passionate about wooden artworks and contemporary design, envisioned the office as both a workspace and a gallery for their collection. The designers embraced an 'object-driven space' concept, using wood's texture, color, and form to unify the design. This approach blends traditional craftsmanship with modern architectural aesthetics, creating a space that embodies both creativity and practicality.
