White Album reimagines the album as a buildable spacecraft inspired by a boy toy model kit. Once assembled, it becomes a white bird in flight, echoing the three dimensional Zhang Yuan Studio logo and the belief that Bird can fly. The pure white package integrates graphic art and 3D modeling, featuring UV printing, holographic foil, and eco materials. An Nfc chip enables digital access, while detachable parts transform the album into an interactive object, uniting structure, technology, and narrative.

Unique Properties
The outer packaging features a pure white box with a sketch patterned slipcase outlining a spacecraft form. The character Bai is UV printed on the front, while the back model parts precisely form the name Zhang Yuan. The lid is silver hot stamped with the title and a three dimensional graphic, expressing mechanical aesthetics. Inside, two panels and a transparent cabin assemble into the Feathered Craft, functioning as both a desktop ornament and phone stand. An NFC chip provides instant digital access, while the CD is stored in the base. Large format lyrics expand into a poster, building the universe of White.

Production Technology
The design integrates graphic art with 3D modeling. Visuals are deconstructed into assembly components, while 3D line drawings are adapted for print. Centered on the theme of White, natural paper and ABS eco plastic are combined with holographic silver, foil stamping, and laser printing to create rainbow light effects. Techniques include transparent UV and holographic foil card, with an embedded NFC chip enabling digital interaction, accompanied by a CD and stickers, balancing structure, texture, and technology.
Design Challenge
The core challenge included transforming abstract concepts, the artists image, and the 3D form of the logo into a mass producible assembly model. The design needed to balance structural strength, assembly experience, NFC interaction, CD storage, and phone-stand functionality, ensuring a seamless integration of artistic expression, industrial structure, and practical use, while maintaining precision and conceptual integrity.

Operation Flow
Unboxing: the sleeve subtly reveals Zhang Yuan, while the UV printed White reflects rainbow light. Assembly: parts are detached and built into a flying bird using the silver printed manual, embodying the Bird can fly dream. Interaction: tap the NFC chamber to access the digital album; the base stores a holographic CD with light shifting white graphics. Creation: add spaceship stickers to transform the bird into a cosmic vessel. Listening: unfold the poster style lyric booklet with color coded songs, completing the ritual of White.
Research
Through market research, we defined Zhang Yuan's image of sunshine and dreams, fan expectations, and the concept of White. Inspired by the studio logo, the design integrates a model kit, NFC interaction, and spacecraft stickers. Based on the artist team's requirements, our design team led overall planning, graphic design, and structural development. The final outcome unifies album, model, artist identity, and digital music, combining collectible, assembly, practical, and commemorative value.
Inspiration
The overall design of White is inspired by a boy toy model kit, incorporating the form of a spacecraft. When assembled, it transforms into a white bird in flight, also representing the three dimensional form of Zhang Yuan Studio logo. Zhang Yuan, known as Bird, is seen as bright and warm. Bird can fly reflects his simple yet determined belief in pursuing dreams. The album symbolizes a boy assembling his dreams through talent and effort, finally soaring onto a radiant stage.
