Production Technology
The Aqoir application was realized through a human-centered design process integrating behavioral research, data visualization studies, and iterative interface prototyping. Sensor-generated biometric data informed the development of adaptive feedback models and visual hierarchies. Interaction flows were refined through usability testing to ensure seamless communication between the physical bottle interaction and an intuitive, emotionally engaging digital experience.
Design Challenge
The primary challenge was translating complex physiological and hydration data into an interface that remains understandable without overwhelming users. Internally, the design required balancing scientific accuracy with emotional clarity and daily usability. Externally, limitations related to sensor data variability and real-time interpretation influenced interaction decisions. The project demanded creating trust and engagement around health monitoring within an otherwise routine daily behavior.
Project Duration
The project started in July 2024 and finished in November 2024 in the USA.
Operation Flow
Aqoir operates through seamless interaction between the smart bottle and its companion application. Physiological and hydration data captured by the bottle’s integrated sensors are automatically transferred to the app, where information is organized into clear visual insights. Users interact primarily through passive monitoring and guided feedback, transforming everyday hydration into an understandable and continuous wellbeing experience.
Research
Qualitative UX and behavioral research. The objective was to understand how users perceive hydration and health data in daily routines. Methodology included user journey analysis and interface prototyping. Data was collected through usability testing and interaction evaluation tools. Participants included health-conscious adults using smart wellness devices. Results showed improved comprehension of personal hydration patterns. Insights informed intuitive data visualization, supporting healthier habits and advancing human-centered health interface design.
Inspiration
Aqoir was inspired by the tactile interaction between the user and the sensor-enabled smart bottle, where health measurement begins through a simple physical gesture. The project explores how digital interfaces can extend this moment of contact into a continuous experience of understanding and awareness. Rather than functioning as a standalone application, the design translates the intelligence of the physical product into a coherent digital interaction, reinforcing the connection between real-world action and personal health insight.
