Ultrasound Device for MFP [a.k.a Med Fanavaran Plus Co.]
Zino is a compact, professional-grade, and low-cost ultrasound. The height adjustment mechanism on the control panel was removed to save costs, and the trolley was modified to compensate and make it more useable for a wider range of users. The device can be used continuously due to the air circulation. The design team also aimed to add value through aesthetic innovation. The probe's transducers were moved to the back, making it easier to manage and giving it a neater look. While the zino aesthetic design is distinctive among other products, it follows the principle of form following function.

The probe's transducers were moved to the back, making it easier to manage while giving it a neater look. While the combination of physical control panel with the modern look trolley make zino aesthetic design distinctive among othes, it follows form following function principal. Different monitor viewing angles possible thanks to the arm mechanism.
Ultrasound, Medical device, Sonography, Innovation, Aesthetic, economical
There were three main challenges with this project. The first was to design a smaller stationary ultrasound that is strong enough to resist damage in a medical setting while still being small enough to reduce packaging and shipping costs. Air circulation was the second. Zino no longer needs to be turned off to cool down because its air circulation has improved, and it can now be used continuously. The other was to create a strong body structure that will save cost on maintenance.
the project started in August 2020 in Tehran and finished in June 2021 in Tehran
Zino's control panel is for people who prefer and are more confident with a physical control panel. To get to the optimal setting possible, the buttons are set based on user interviews, user observation, the intensity of use, and a review of existing samples.
Zino is an ultrasound system designed on the orders of Med Fanavaran Plus. The idea was to create a low-cost device that could be used by professionals in addition to cost savings, which made the device available to a target group with less financial strength, the design team aimed to add value by aesthetic innovation.
