Interior Space Design for Beijing Yeak Interior design limited company
The project is a space design work that tries to break the rigid definition of space box and blur the boundary and separation in space by drawing lessons from the design techniques of Jiangnan gardens. The design team extends the space from people's actual needs, just like an unfolding box, creating a relaxed and misty beauty of life.

The project, a space design work co-opting the design techniques of the Garden on the Yangtze Delta, attempts to explode the rigid definition of space box and to blur the boundaries and separation in space. The design team, according to people’s actual needs, expands the space like a box keeping unfolding, creating a relaxing and dreamlike aesthetic of life.
Home decoration design, curve design, flow sense
Wall materials: micro cement, solid wood panels Living room flooring: herringbone wood parquet flooring Kitchen countertops: sintered stone Furniture materials: solid wood panels Bathroom wall and flooring: tiles Closet materials: wood frame + acrylic Sofa: metal + sponge + cloth finish
The hardest part of the design lies in the fact that, due to the introduction of numerous curves, the entire space presents visually a special sense “flow”. How to integrate these curves in an overall order constitutes the next challenge. Therefore, the design team renders each functional section and scene more balanced by adjusting meticulously the ratio of straight and curved lines in each landscape, enhancing the atmosphere of “family”.
The project, initiated in Beijing, China in July 2020, was complete on January 1st, 2022.
The location of the two S-shaped walls is drawn according to the current status and the needs of each function space, whose concaveness and convexity both serving specific functional needs. Through special, central migratory line of life, residents can create a home with no end by threading their way through each function space around the curved walls, ensuring a smooth living experience.
As the spiritual sanctuary in most people’s mind, the design team, hoping to create for users a home with views, introduces considerably to the project the design idea of “hiding and revealing”, guiding users' movement through elaborate ratio of shadow and perspective, while delivering poetic effects of “one step, one view”.
Taking inspiration from gardens, the project, via numerous curves, explodes the design language in the traditional home design which is too straightforward and rigid, broadening the expression of limited space. The soft visual perception renders the setting of dynamic lines more variable, while creating a subtle sense of order, which not only averts the sense of clutter, but also makes residents feel freer and looser.
