DA-I interior Design & Constrution Co,Ltd, Chang Yi-Chung, Residential House, Interior Design, the traditional Chinese elements
In the entranceway, the marble wall behind Guanyin statue is like a picture which shows the divine light from Buddha. Chanting the Heart Sutra in mind can ease anxieties and release worries. The installation art made of solid wood is extended from the ceiling to the floor. It looks like a string instrument that can produce pleasant music. Its graceful curves and its reflections in the mirror soften the entranceway. The oncoming metal grilles are combined with slate bars. Its interesting shape is like a Xylophone with the mellow sound quality and waiting for guests to play a wonderful song. The simple flowing lines present the design concept, which includes softness, curve, instrument, music, and picture, while displaying the extraordinary modern taste.
This project,” Modern Oriental Simplicity”, is presented in a black-white color scheme and introduces the traditional Chinese elements— painting, music, and poem—with modern minimalist style.
Guests chat and laugh in the spacious living room. In contrast, the tea room is more silent. The wing-shaped chandelier made of metal wire brings light to the tea room. The golden and majestic shrine guards home throughout the day. The wall of the long corridor is a huge artwork. It looks like a Chinese ink wash painting is painted directly across the white wall. Diffusing ink blots and smooth brush stroke are viewed as natural impromptu to express oriental spirit. By opening and closing the door displays flexible space configuration.
The design idea of the wall of the dining room is from the concept of the multi-treasure cabinet in the Qing Dynasty. It features storage, display, and collection. Interior design can bring better life experience, this project’s homeowner is very successful in his career. Happy and harmonious family life is his current pursuit. In this modern oriental space, the homeowner can enjoy a cozy life with his family and create more family memories.
Rooms are the habitat of human beings. It is also the space for relaxation and tranquilization of mind. Combining two units into one spacious apartment, this project is designed for three generation family. Due to the symmetrical rectangular layout, the private personal space such as the bedrooms are arranged on both sides, and the public space such as the living room, two kitchen (Chinese/Western style), and dining room, are placed in the center to bond the relationship of the family. The theme of the whole space is "modern orient" and " simplicity ".
