Production Technology
Bamboo forests-under-the-moon door panels match bamboo silver gilding PET back panels, which is more classy. Bamboo forests-under-the-moon melamine wall panels go with bamboo node hardware handles, blending in with the cabinet door. The appearance design of the hanging bookcase and wall panel is like a delicate patchwork of bamboo forests, matched with recessed light strips, which enhances the visual effect and a sense of structure.
Design Challenge
We want to create a modern intelligent home space in line with current Chinese life by incorporating bamboo carrying human memory with a long history. But materials on the market can’t meet the development demand for delicate details and modern colors. That is why our team independently developed a new wood veneer, which can perfectly marry modern metal materials and techniques with the traditional element to show rich cultural connotations.
Project Duration
The project will finish in September 2023 in Guangzhou.
Operation Flow
The living room has a mobile electric wine and tea cabinet with three layers of structure. The interior layer is a fixed open display area, the middle layer is a mobile electric cabinet, and the exterior is a sliding door with a hydraulic cushioning track. It can be used to display or conceal collections as needed. The cabinet features an innovative folded side-inserted door, which can be folded and put into both sides of cabinet gaps to save space, thus creating a clean and simple space.

Research type: indoor space design; Research goal: to blend the bamboo element into modern intelligent home space where the now Chinese live; Research method: behavioral research method and comparative research method; Social impact: Mengyin Black Golden Series uses innovative wood veneers, combined with details such as lighting and color matching as well as multi-functional cabinet design, to meet people’s needs for life and interpret the tranquil beauty of modern oriental home space.
Inspiration
Mengyin Black Golden Series is designed based on the artistic conception, material, and art of bamboo. Modern metal materials, techniques, and design skills are used to develop new bamboo forests-under-the-moon melamine wood veneers, bamboo silver gilding PET materials, and customized lacquered wall panels with bamboo forest structure, thus showing more exquisite details and rich modern colors.
