Production Technology

The ceramic coating used in the milk container prevents sticking during milk pasteurization and yogurt making processes. The aluminum container with ceramic coating can be easily washed by hand or in the dishwasher.

Design Challenge

Since it offers the possibility of customization, the user can obtain fruit yogurts and probiotic yogurts. Turkey is a big market for yogurt and people often share their yogurt starter with each other. Even someone who has never made yogurt before can easily achieve the same result if they also share the program for the yogurt they share the yeast with the Pasteur app. The user can make as much yogurt as they need and avoid food waste.

Operation Flow

The process of making healthy yogurt begins with heating natural raw milk to the appropriate temperature in a pot, a step crucial for pasteurization. However, this can lead to overflow and sticking if not monitored carefully. After ensuring the milk is pasteurized, it is left to cool, which can take a long time if covered to prevent dusting. This extended cooling period may cause the milk to sour depending on room temperature. Pasteur make all of them automatically and healtier way! Additionally, the product supports experimentation, allowing users to try yogurt or recipes using different milk types such as goat or buffalo.

Research

Based on our research on home-made yogurt production, consumption, and habits of the Turkish population, we have concluded that a 3-liter container will support the culture of large families and sharing. The aim is to make yogurt in the easiest and healthiest way possible without deviating from the traditional yogurt-making culture.

Inspiration

A home appliance design that allows you to prepare yogurt, which is very trendy in local consumption and DIY culture, in the most natural and healthy way. Making yogurt at home in the traditional way results in uncontrolled boiling, which kills beneficial bacteria. Personalized programs can be set through the Pasteur app. Offering customization gives the user experience and allows them to achieve the desired taste and consistency when pasteurizing raw milk in a controlled manner.
