Unique Properties
The Lena cookware set features a scratch-resistant, high-heat ceramic coating that adds both functional and aesthetic value. This coating makes cleaning easier, while the stainless steel lid and handles provide a unique look. Ergonomically designed handles offer a comfortable grip, and the lid and body are specially designed for easy straining without the need for additional tools. The organic design language is created by the rounded contours of the body and lid.

Production Technology
The product is made using eco-friendly technology with a ceramic coating. Additionally, the lid features a steel strip with holes of different sizes on opposite sides, facilitating the straining function.
Design Challenge
While designing the product, the aim was not only to achieve an aesthetic appearance but also to ensure its functionality, setting it apart from other products on the market.
Project Duration
The project started in June 2023 in İstanbul and finished in June 2024 in İstanbul.
Operation Flow
The design of the Lena pot, with its body and lid shape, allows for easy straining without the need for any additional tools. The steel strip on the lid has holes of different sizes at specific points. This design facilitates easy straining while also allowing steam to escape through these holes. If cooking is to be done without steam release, the lid can be rotated so that the perforated sections close off inside the body. The rounded, heat-resistant Bakelite handles provide an ergonomic grip, ensuring comfortable handling.
Research
The product aims to differentiate itself by adding a straining function, rather than relying on conventional pots. This is achieved through the design of holes in different sizes and a specially tailored body. The adjustable positioning of these holes also allows for controlling steam release, adding another functional feature to the product. Additionally, Lena prefers differentiation in materials, using a ceramic coating that ensures hygiene, ease of cleaning, and an environmentally friendly design.
Inspiration
Made from completely natural materials and produced using eco-friendly technology, the Lena pot features an extra-resistant, high-temperature ceramic coating that allows for the preparation of delicious meals with minimal use of oil. Its specially designed body and perforated lid aim to differentiate the product by making straining easier. The product’s clean lines and smooth, elegant form are the result of a design process focused on simplicity and refinement.
Project Overview
Lena Cookware Set has been a Platinum winner in the Bakeware, Tableware, Drinkware and Cookware Design award category in the year 2024 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Platinum A' Design Award is recognized for honoring designs that stand at the forefront of creativity and innovation. It is the highest accolade bestowed by the A' Design Awards, acknowledging works that blend remarkable innovation with impactful societal contributions. These designs not only showcase exceptional artistic and technical proficiency but also highlight their creators' commitment to advancing the boundaries of art, science, design, and technology.
