Little Kong is with compact size and structure. The lampshade adopts advanced PC hot bending process, which needs very high precision requirement to make the shape well. Besides, the texture of the surface is a special paint to ensure uniform and smooth light-guide. The body part is made of aluminum alloy metal material, with surface spraying treatment. The minimal tolerances of AL allows for high precision.
1. Acrylic lampshade molding process 2. Trial production of nanometer light conducting materials 3. Infrared sensor sensitivity and noise suppression
Little Kong project started on May, 2018, Shenzhen,China. It took almost 6 months from the design concepts to mold and another 6 months from mold completion to stable mass production. We took a series of Little Kong prototypes to extend Hong Kong Lighting Fair on Octorber,2018. It won great rave reviews. And then, the mass production was luanched again on Hong Kong Lighting Fari on October, 2019. It was a great success again. Till now, more than 10,000 pieces of Little Kong have been delivered to users and bring them great joy and convienience.
1 ) Connect the power supply cable. 2 ) Turn the lamp on by hovering your hand over the lamp shade 3 ) Color temperature / Brightness · Use the color temperature key to choose one out of 5 light colors. · Use the brightness touch key to chose one out of 5 brightness levels. · Touch these two keys at the same time, and the light will turn off. · When the light is turn off, touch any of the two keys and the light turns on. 4 ) Wireless charging Place your wireless charge compatible phone onto the glass of the wireless charging pad to start charging your phone. 5 ) Charge a second device Plug a charging cable into the USB-charging port to charge a device. It is possible to charge one device wirelessly and a second device via cable simultaneously
The design research in the design process of Little Kong is mainly the exploration experiment of hot bending forming technology of light guide plate. In the past, light guide plate is basically used for panel lamp, without hot bending, and the hot bending of this specific form needs special design fixture, and easy to lead to high lmp shade defect rate. Through dozens of temperature adjustment and fixture optimization, we finally improved the parts yield rate to more than 90%, the hot bending cost is only 20% of that of similar European lamps, so that the directional curved surface of light guide plate becomes possible, in the development history of light guide plate has epoch-making significance.
Inspired from oriental aesthetics which pays great attention to the relationship between virtual and real, ambience and penetration. In the past, desk lamps usually contain bulbs and lampshades. Kong's greatest feature is that it skillfully hides LED beads in metal brackets to ensure the Empty and Purity inside the lampshade. Must say the creative application of light guide plate(LGP) plays a crucial role in the design of Kong. Before, the LGP was mainly used in panel light, but this time, we adopted it creatively on table light, floor light and so on. Its semi-permeable effect is very subtly replace the traditional fabric or glass lampshade. Besides, it can perfectly present patterns or textures in a three-dimensional way. Also make it possible for users to customize DIY patterns.
