Avameow is a mobile game and digital product. The game was an adaptation of the tale of King Arthur, which is featured in the board game The Resistance, Avalon, which also inspired this story. Avameow allows players to role-play as a cat knight or minion and travel on adventures both online and in-person with friends and family.

This opens up an exciting world of possibilities, allowing players to explore their own unique adventures and experiences. Avameow is a social platform that offers a new approach to the party game genre. Its highly autonomous system provides a legend of King Meowthur and allows players to create custom storylines. The game's charming animation style, inspired by medieval art, features various types of cats. Avameow is ideal for people unable to meet in person and provides a unique solution for bonding with family and friends. Whether playing locally or online, Avameow encourages laughter and creates lasting memories. This digital strategy party game is a great way to have fun and bond with loved ones. With its social capabilities, Avameow offers a unique solution for people who are unable to meet in person, particularly during times such as the pandemic. The game's focus on bonding and social interaction makes it a great way to bring families and friends closer together, or for new friends to form. Project Duration

The project started in January 2022 in Boston and finished in February 2023 in Boston.

Operation Flow

With the option to communicate using text or audio, players can immerse themselves in the game's interactive and animated world. They have the opportunity to role-play as a cat in the legend of King Meowthur, bringing the story to life and adding an extra layer of fun and excitement to the game. Avameow provides a platform for friends to come together and enjoy their time, even if they're unable to meet in person. This digital conversational strategy party game is a great way to bond and have fun with friends and family.

Research

Avameow offers versatile and customizable gameplay, with in-person and online modes, a default story, and a timed clock. It accommodates different communication preferences, including audio chat, further enhancing its accessible design. The custom mode takes the experience to the next level by allowing players to create their own stories and adventures, making it a great option for those seeking a more personalized and unique experience.

Inspiration

Avameow was born out of a need for a fun, interactive, and digital solution during the pandemic when traditional board games like "The Resistance: Avalon'' could no longer be played with friends in person. The concept of a digital, conversational strategy party game emerged, incorporating the classic legend of King Arthur and re-imagining it as the tale of King Meowthur. This innovative game offers a unique and exciting adventure that can be played both locally and online.
