The posters were part of the brand identity of Daikure, a world leading Japanese manufacturing company in heavy industry. With real employees as the model, the attitude of authenticity and craftsmanship, the breakthrough and boldness in the profession, the heritage were the concept delivered by the focus of facial expression, the eyes and the posture. The contrast and the light arrangement revealed the solid energy.

Production Technology
The clear and steadfast eyes expressed the attitude of focus and craftsmanship, and posture of models expressed the breakthrough and boldness in profession. In addition, the facial expression showed the experience from old heritage regarded as trustworthy and depended. Contrast of the light arrangement and dark blue were in consistent with the brand values as professional, detail-oriented and craftsmanship. The picture was designed to reveal with strong and solid energy.
Design Challenge
One challenge was to take perfect shot with these two gentleman who were real staffs in Daikure but they did wonderful job. The other challenge was to show the craftsmanship and welding technique in the same design.
Research
Jbbc conducted many deep interviews with employees and clients of Daikure in Japan. The design concept was developed from the feedback from both parties.
Inspiration
"Though people may regard us as old school, for the past 60 years, this is the way we work, insisting in every detail and making every machinery product as the only handmade craft piece in the world. The attitude is in our blood as a Japanese and that's the reason why we can keep Daikure in the position as one of the world leading company in this category" said by Chief Officer of Operation in Daikure.
