The bar is the essence of the whole space. As a gathering place, the floor height and the cabinet lighting attract people's attention, which is both functional and aesthetic.

The project is a minimalist modern style. The design team uses black, white, and gray with sharp lines to draw the space. The facade with light, gray mirrors, and stylized gaps to form consistency. The bright layers and reflections of the gray mirrors make the public space look more spacious. The design team first removes the facade of the room and transforms the space into a bar area to form two distinctive lounges, the living room, and the bar. The large countertop provides ample space for storage, and the custom wine cabinet and small sink form a functional area for socializing.
Modern style, bar, gray mirror, indirect lighting, custom wine cabinet.
Building materials: special paint, architectural concrete paint, latex paint, calcium silicate board, marble, polished quartz tile, Dupont artificial stone, gray glass, wood flooring, iron parts, special wood veneer, etc. To avoid mold and mildew due to the humid climate in Taiwan, the ceiling of the public area is painted with architectural concrete paint and bright lighting is introduced to meet the climate and budget constraints. This style is minimalistic, natural, and elegant, in line with the design theme.
The design team transforms one of the bedrooms into a bar. To comply with the building's renovation regulations and the client's requirements, the design team take many techniques to achieve the goal of planning the plumbing intake and drainage system. The bar area is covered with laminate flooring, and the corner flooring is particularly challenging. In addition, the design team uses the partition strip as the first step to take care of both aesthetics and functionality. Lastly, the custom wine cabinet is perfectly tailored to the client's requirements, and the bar is set at the perfect height.
The project finished in August 2022 in Taiwan.
The client is most satisfied with the bar area. The flooring is raised to create a stage effect, making it the highlight of the space. In the large public area integrated with the living room, the double-sided sofa allows guests to enjoy a different visual experience. Furthermore, the unique design attracts two show crews to the home for filming, allowing the client's private space to be used as a workplace.
The gray, white, and wood grain tones are interwoven to form a calm modern style, outlining an elegant look. The living room and bar area become a large public area for gathering. The double-sided sofa provides guests with two scenes. The bar area combined with the lighting accentuates the core of the space. The corridor facade is clad in shaped grooved panels, grey mirrors, and light strips. The lines and light reflect each other, reducing the sense of spatial transformation of the hidden door of the second bedroom. Dark glass mirrors are used on the facade and closet to create a magnified visual effect.
The client is a young makeup artist who is well-known in the industry and values color and beauty. The project has a modern style with a stable mid-dark color palette, which shows that the client is a leader in her career. There is a bar area in the public area. Guests can move freely between the living room and the bar. The spacious and comfortable residence can be transformed into a place that can accommodate many people with a stylish atmosphere for gatherings.
