Unique Properties
This is a bearing storage case specially designed for roller skaters. The aesthetically pleasing product innovatively fastens the case and fix the spring puller just with a rubber band. Thanks to its compact size, users can easily carry, place or take bearings at any time. Its restraint structure, staggered design and reasonable force points enhance reliable stability for bearing storage, thereby avoiding accidental opening or slipping.

Production Technology
The storage case made of silicone, abs and stainless steel can be unfolded or folded through a hinge. The lid is designed with the frosted part and the transparent part, which not only improves aesthetically attraction of the product, but also well conveys information visually.
Design Challenge
The challenge is how to create a tool featuring the charm of roller skating and striking a balance among practicability, portability and aesthetic pleasure. To address that, aspring puller for bearing removal or installation is integrated into the product with stability ensured, to expand function and improve value in use. The bottom with mechanical elements related to bearings, as well as the shape design for the open, unfolded state and the closed, folded one, leads to higher aesthetic value.
Project Duration
The project was developed in Hangzhou in November 2022 and released in China in March 2022.
Operation Flow
When carried, the storage cavities ensure stable piles of bearings, with the restraint structure of the lid avoiding abrasion, impact or noise due to shakes, minimally affecting the condition and lifespan of bearings. Thespring puller helps to remove or install bearings of roller skates in a quick, intact manner. It can be placed in the hollow part of the product and connected with a rubber band via hooks to fasten the case. Reasonable force points and staggered design enhance reliable stability.
Research
Usually, a pair of roller skates include 8 bearings, and other bearing sets carried need a special storage case so that users can easily replace or store bearings at any time. It is surveyed that cases specially for bearing storage on the current market are simple in structure, which fail to well fix bearings and are inconvenient to place or take bearings.
Inspiration
Currently, some professional roller skaters need to carry various bearing sets so as to satisfy different needs of speed or scenarios, which asks for more professional and safer bearing storage. The open, unfolded state and the closed, folded state of the product are inspired by the motions of skating racers. The bottom is designed with a mechanical style for senses of power and speed, suggesting that the ceramic ball bearings in this case will provide the best skating experience for users.
