Pepsi has always been at the forefront of the music scene, supporting what’s new and what’s next, and Spotify has undoubtedly blazed its own unique trail in music streaming. In June 2023, Pepsi joined forces with Spotify to create a Pepsi x Spotify limited-edition exclusive can design and influencer kit for an Egyptian audience. To visually represent both brands, the design had to equally integrate the identities of Spotify and Pepsi as well as an interactive QR code.

In June 2023, Pepsi joined forces with Spotify to create a Pepsi x Spotify limited-edition exclusive can design and influencer kit for an Egyptian audience. To visually represent both brands, the design had to equally integrate the identities of Spotify and Pepsi as well as an interactive QR code.
In creating the Pepsi x Spotify artwork, our team embraced the expressive attitude of Gen Z as inspiration. We mixed shades of bold Pepsi blue with the bright green shared by Spotify and the signature color of the rap scene in Egypt. The background includes a variety of glitchy patterns that pay homage to rapper Wegz, and layers of cut paper with “Gaya Gaya” lyrics scribbled on top. On the can, we added a QR code that people could scan to listen to a Pepsi song created for a cashback campaign.
Pepsi X Spotify Beverage Packaging has been a Bronze winner in the Packaging Design award category in the year 2023 organized by the prestigious A' Design Award & Competition. The Bronze A' Design Award is given to outstanding designs that showcase a high degree of creativity and practicality. It recognizes the dedication and skill of designers who produce work that stands out for its thoughtful development and innovative use of materials and technology. These designs are acknowledged for their professional execution and potential to influence industry standards positively. Winning this award highlights the designer's ability to blend form and function effectively, offering solutions that enhance people's lives and wellbeing.
